Today entry post I would like to share with your guys about the decision of RMAF Chief about the on going retirement program of MIG29N on 2015. Malaysia will lose the most interceptor fighter that has been become legend in Malaysia Aviation when the first time Malaysia procured the Eastern Block Russian equipped Our AirForce in 1995.

The MRCA procurement still pending and no light of hope that RMAF will procure new MRCA during retirement of Mig29N on 2015. Therefore during 2012, there are some rumors about the leasing program to RMAF to cover the loop hole of our air defence on 2015. During Media Day between RMAF and MINDEF on 26 May 2014, RMAF Chief has given media statement that RMAF and Malaysia government has received 2 leasing proposal from SAAB Gripen and BAE Eurofighter Typhoon.

This will be Our Next MRCA  SAAB JAS 39A/C ?

What I heard from some sources ,  RMAF mostly liked to accepted SAAB Gripen leasing program because this company already have 18 or more available JAS -39A Gripen to leasing to RMAF. The BAE also proposed Eurofighter Typhoon Trenche 1 but I think its too difficult to realize the typhoon in leasing program. My opinion about this leasing program is what RMAF needed to cover their lost of Mig 29N, My choice of course The Eurofighter Typhoon because it will save time and cost of training during the leasing program and procuremet program.

Hope the Dream Come True
