Syark Air force (SAF) - 1/72 Unimax USAF F22A Raptor 28th Fighter Squadron Langley Air Base 2006

1/72 Unimax FOV USAF F22A Raptor 28th Fighter Squadron Langley Air Base 2006

Unimax Force of Valor has released this Raptor F22A around late 2009. This scaled diecast model I bought from my friend garage sales hahahaha with crazy price from him. Anyway this diecast from Unimax not too detailed and not well finishing especially in lining detail.

Designed to meet a US Air Force requirement for an Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) to replace the F-15 Eagle, the F-22 was first flown on September 29th, 1990. The USAF's ATF program aimed to produce a fifth-generation air superiority fighter that would be better matched against emerging new aircraft such as the Su-27 Flanker. The F-22 uses stealth technology and can function in air superiority, ground attack, intelligence and electronic warfare roles. Despite its capabilities, the F-22 program was relatively short-lived; by 2010 its high cost coupled with the development of the F-35 (a more versatile and less expensive aircraft) led to a cessation of F-22 production funding.

The 27th Fighter Squadron is a squadron of the United States Air Force, currently part of the 1st Operations Group of the 1st Fighter Wing, and deployed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The unit was designated and re-designated numerous times before becoming the 27th Fighter Squadron Sept.1, 1991. The 27th took part in support of Operation Desert Storm based in Saudi Arabia. The 27th was the first operational squadron to fly the F-15 Eagle starting in 1976. Next in 2005 the 27th became the first operational F-22 squadron with a fleet of 40 aircraft. Elmendorff AFB, Alaska, became the second in August 2007 and Holloman AFB, New Mexico the third in June 2008. Operational Raptors will also be based at Hickam AFB Hawaii.
